Pip, Poppy and Ollie- the British alter-egos of my sister Katie, myself, and the hubs- lived it up in London last week. Pip was in town visiting and we took full advantage of every day, walking here, there and everywhere, watching Wimbledon at our favorite neighborhood spots and acting like 12 year-olds at times (our maturity levels took a huge dive with each passing day, it’s a sister thing). Here are a few of the highlights!
Surprising Pip at the airport and her priceless reaction.
Iced Irish coffee in Hyde Park to perk up after jet lag.Dinner at The Queen’s Arms, best fish and chips in town!
Watching the round of 16 matches on court 3- Lisicki vs. Shvedova and Raonic vs. Nishikori.
Witnessing Kyrgios beat Nadal on Murray Mound. Did I mention how amazing Wimbledon was?
Dinner at Polpo and [running to] Once, the musical (in case you were wondering, the shows start on time, woops).
Walking to Covent Garden for lunch, shopping and coffee.
Watching more Wimbledon at Blue Bird. Being generally weird/laughing til we cried. Italian night – spritzes and pasta in Chelsea. Watching the Wimbledon finals at The Duke of Clarence. Peacock spottings in Holland Park. We didn’t have time to go to Harrod’s or Hampstead Heath- I’m free on Wednesday if you can pop back over, Pip?
